Fujiya Hotel Sengoku Golf Course
Fujiya Hotel Sengoku Golf Course
The Fujiya Hotel Sengoku Golf Course started its rich and long history in 1917 with 7 holes designed by FE Colchester. As a public course, it is the second oldest golf course in Japan and the first in East Japan. Officially a full course and established in
1935 when 9 holes were created and added by famed course designer Shiro Akaboshi, and a total length of 6,320 yards and 18 holes of par 72 were completed. Come experience the deep and rich history our ancestors have created.
From the window of the clubhouse or the hot baths, you can enjoy the view of the mountains of Hakone.
After an exhilarating round please relax in the clubhouse for some post play libations with your friends. The Japanese Emperor used to play here weekly!
The club house has a panoramic views of the course and the Fujiya Hotel's gourmet menu and services are available for players to have a relaxing break between, or after play. 1945, the Sengoku Golf Course was requisitioned by the US Army along with Fujiya Hotel, but the requisition was finally canceled in 1952 and it was reopened as a public course.
